Pre Treatment:
This is a great tip that we had to pass on to all Global Keratin Treatment users! About a week before you have the Global Keratin treatment use the Maijan Pure Organic Argan Oil deep conditioning oil treatment on your hair. This will help prevent breakage and keep your hair healthy pre and post treatment. The Maijan Argan Oil treatment can be used pre and post Global Keratin treatment.

Directions:
Step 1: Gently shampoo your hair twice with the Global Keratin Clarifying Shampoo to remove excess styling products and build-up and to help open the cuticle. For virgin hair or resistant hair types wash hair 3 times with the Global Keratin Clarifying Shampoo.

Step 2: Towel dry hair to remove excess moisture. Detangle the hair with a wide tooth comb or Global Keratin Vent Brush. Section hair into 3 parts.

Step 3: Wear protective clothing before applying the treatment. Wearing gloves, shake the product well before opening and pour 1 oz of our keratin treatment in the Global Keratin application bowl adjusting amount of product used according to the length and thickness of the hair. Start at the nape using ¼ inch to ½ sections, lightly apply the product into the hair with your finger tips or Global Keratin Application Brush. Comb through with the Global Keratin Fine Tooth Comb for even distribution and to remove excess product. Do not over saturate the hair with keratin treatment. If hair becomes too dry, moisten with water using spray bottle. Avoid contact with scalp, skin, and eyes. Note: Make sure the entire hair shaft is completely covered with our keratin treatment.

Step 4: Use the Global Keratin round brush to blow dry your hair straight. For best results, use a round ion ceramic brush and a blow dryer on medium heat setting. This will help start the sealing process of the cuticle. Start blow drying your hair at the nape area working your way up until all the hair is 100% dry.
Note: Always point the blow dryer away from your face. Make sure the hair is completely dry before proceeding to the ironing.

Step 5: Remove your gloves. For the ironing process you will need a titanium flat iron that reaches 450 degrees (be careful to choose the right temperature), you can use the Global Keratin Titanium Flat Iron to get the best results. Starting at the nape, create ¼ inch sections of hair. You can use the Global Keratin Shark Clips to hold the hair. Tap the roots and slowly slide the flat iron from roots to ends. Be careful not to burn the scalp or ears. For hard to reach areas, use the Global Keratin Mini Flat Iron. Continue this process until all of the hair has been ironed. With repeated iron passes over each section, your hair will be sealed with a silky, shiny and straight look. Use your judgment to determine how many passes are needed with the flat iron.

Step 6: Do not shampoo hair for 48 hours and do not restrain hair with accessories or apparel.

- Blow dry and smooth with flat iron at medium to high heat right away if hair happens to get wet.
- Wear your hair down at all times.

- Don’t wash your hair
- Don’t wear hair in a ponytail or use clips, bobby pins or hair braids
- Don’t participate in any activity that may cause you to sweat

Q. What is JUVEXIN?
A. JUVEXIN is the ONLY keratin compound scientifically proven to protect and restore hair back to its youthful state.

Q. Why is JUVEXIN different than other keratins?
A. Other products in the market today are made with hydrolyzed or over processed keratin where the long chains of amino acids are broken and the capability of the protein to bind to the hairs natural keratin is destroyed.

A. No. Global Keratin’s Hair Taming System with JUVEXIN is a system that restores hair to its pristine condition. It does not change the genetic make up of hair. Rather, it makes hair more manageable, easy to style and frizz-free.

Q. Do I always have to wear my hair straight or can I style my hair?
A. After the first wash you can style your hair in any manner you desire. Since the Global Keratin Hair Taming System with JUVEXIN does not change the structural integrity of your hair, your hair will hold any style like before the application.

Q. Does the Hair Taming System work on virgin hair?
A. Yes. The Global Keratin Hair Taming System with JUVEXIN will provide excellent results on any hair type. On virgin hair, best results will be achieved after the second or third application.

Q. Can the Hair Taming System be done on any type of damaged hair?
A. Yes, the Global Keratin Hair Taming System with JUVEXIN treatment can be applied on ANY previous chemical treatment (colored, highlighted, relaxed, bleached or virgin hair).

Q. Can you do the Hair Taming System over the Japanese straightening?
A. Yes, the Global Keratin Hair Taming System with JUVEXIN can be applied over any kind of permanent straightening.

Q. Is it best to apply the Hair Taming System before or after coloring?
A. For optimal results, color/highlighting processes should be done before applying the Global Keratin Hair Taming System with JUVEXIN. In addition, both procedures may be done on the same visit. Otherwise, wait 2 weeks after the treatment application to apply color/highlights.

Q. How do I apply the Hair Taming System with Juvexin after color?
A. After you have finished applying the color treatment to your hair, thoroughly rinse the hair as usual until the water runs clear. Then wash the hair lightly with Global Keratin Clarifying Shampoo to remove the excess color build up. Thoroughly rinse the hair after the Clarifying Shampoo. Apply the Hair Taming System with Juvexin right over the color as you would normally do.

Q. Can the Hair Taming System be done on children?
A. Most pediatricians recommend that children be at least 12 years old before they receive any kind of cosmetic treatments.

Q. Why do I have to wait to wash my hair?
A. We recommend that you wait because it takes 48 hours for the JUVEXIN to form a stronger bond to the hair cortex. If hair is washed right after the treatment, some or most of the Juvexin may wash out and the results of the application will not last as long as desired.

Q. Can I wear a ponytail or tie the hair up?
A. No, during the first 48 hours following the application the hair should not be tied up with any bands or clips.

Q. What should I do if I create a bend in my hair while sleeping?
A. Blow dry the section of hair as soon as possible and/or use a flat iron to re-straighten the hair.

Q. What should I do if my hair gets wet during the first 48 hours?
A. Blow dry the section of hair as soon as possible and/or use a flat iron to re-seal the cuticle.

Q. How long does the Hair Taming System last?
A. The Global Keratin Hair Taming System with JUVEXIN treatment will last about 3-5 months depending on the hair type and maintenance. The system works better on chemically treated hair.

Q. Is the Hair Taming System permanent?
A. No, the Global Keratin Hair Taming System with JUVEXIN application will gradually wash out after 3 – 5 months.

Q. Can I go into the ocean or the pool after receiving the Hair Taming System?
A. Do not go into the ocean or pool during the first 48 hours. After that, you may swim. However, apply Global Keratin Hair Taming System with JUVEXIN Leave-In Conditioner to your hair before you get in the water and rinse well afterward before shampooing.

Q. What shampoo and conditioners do I use after receiving the Hair Taming System?

Q. Can I use styling products during the first 2 days?

A. While there are no known adverse effects, pregnant women and nursing mothers should consult a physician prior to any type of hair treatment.

Was so excited after reading everyone's reviews. Spent couple hundred to have done & loved it for first three days before I washed it! It was a stretch to say it looked much different. In a positive note it did take some frizz away and made very soft like a good conditioning. Didn't affect body of hair at all and no wash and air dry at all! Maybe expectations were to high. Takes same amount of time to blow dry & flat iron.

Product worked great. I have extremely frizzy, curly hair. After the treatment I have smooth waves. It used to take me over an hour to get my curly hair somewhat straight. Now I am totally straight and smooth after 15 minutes.

This product softens and conditions virgin hair. However, my hair is now wiry because I have different textures on the sides, top & front of my head, while the back is thick and curly. This created a mix of both straight & curly hair. I like to wear my hair natural. I WOULD recommend this product with the exception of those with gray or silver hair and/or a mixed texture. Beware---gray or silver hair may turn yellowish-bronze. The results may be devastating; after treatment some hair may remain straight while some hair remains curly. My hair was re-texutrized after using this product. By the way it was applied by a Certified/Licensed Beautician.

I LOVE this product! I have wavy hair that looks frizzy when I do not style it. After using this product, I can wash my hair & let it air dry naturally. There is ZERO, frizz even in the rain &/or humid weather. I tried the QOD Gold, it I did not see or feel a difference in my hair at all. Actually, the only place I saw a difference was in my wallet. It was a total waste of money!!! I should have never used anything other than the Global Keratin & I never will again!!! If you want smooth, zero frizz, amazingly shiny & super fast drying hair, then use this product!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!!!!!

I tried the Global Keratin because Coppolla was sold out and my natural roots were growing in with force! Customer service recommended Global Keratin and I have to say I prefer GK over Coppolla. The application time was a little bit shorter and took more of the curl out. I'm VERY happy with the results.
